Dinner and disco party at Arthog, near Dolgellau. Fancy dress with Hollywood as the theme. Most members make a weekend of it with a walk or climb on the Saturday and Sunday.

At the Gateway Centre, Shrewsbury. Martin Moran “All in a year's work”. Lecture on the ascent of all the Alpine 4,000m peaks in one journey plus adventures in Scotland, the Alps and Tibet. Friday 18th—Sunday 20th Lake District hut weekend
Staying in the superb Torver hut near Coniston. Travel light as it's a long walk in.
