Winter Midweek Climbing We will be meeting indoors at one of the local climbing walls from 18:00 onwards on every Tuesday night until 6 April 2010. This winter we will be visiting four different walls. First Tuesday of each month will be in Shrewsbury, Second and Fourth Tuesdays in Wolverhampton, Third Tuesdays at Newport and any Fifth Tuesdays in Birmingham. This is the outline calendar and you can expect to find other club members present on these nights. Keen members of the club will be out climbing more than one night a week and some members will always tend to use their local wall even when the ‘official' meet is elsewhere. Use the bulletin board to keep in touch and to arrange lift sharing.

No rock boots available to hire There is one easy bouldering wall and a harder bouldering wall as well as 12 vertical to overhanging roped panels with three routes per panel that can be top roped or led. Typical grades run from English 4a to 6c. You have to prove you can put on a harness, tie in and belay to climb here, otherwise you can just boulder. If another club member is present they can ‘look after' you so you can climb. You need to phone to check if someone is available to test you if you have not climbed here before. This wall has extensive bouldering circuits with over 100 problems from V0 to V6+. There are also ten roped panels with two routes per panel. You have to prove you can put on a harness, tie in and belay to climb here, otherwise you can boulder.
